The Curious Incident of the Wednesday Night Sleepers

I received the frantic BBM around midnight. Roommate Steve had taken up residence in the Campbell basement lounge, intent on doing some MAE homework. But something was wrong."There are two people sleeping in the Campbell lounge," he wrote. "Very strange.""Are they homeless?" I asked."I don't think so."The sleepers began to multiply."Now there are three people," he BBM'd. "Four."I had to check it out myself. By the time I got there, almost ten people had assembled, dressed in pajamas and wrapped in sleeping bags.I asked the only question I could."Who are you?""We're S.A.C.K."The speaker was Luke Massa '13, Sleepmaster of the club. And he was about to blow my mind.S.A.C.K. is the Sleep Around Campus Klub, a group devoted to spending Wednesday nights sleeping in different public spaces around campus.Seriously. They even have a Facebook group. And a coat of arms:n138286859724_533(That's right. Those are beds instead of books on the Princeton crest. Sweet Photoshop.)Say what you will, the club seemed serious about bringing back the lost art of the old-school sleepover. You know, the kind without a walk of shame in the morning? So if you're seeking refuge from tonight's thunderstorm, head on down to the Campbell basement. They'll save you a spot on the couch.(Spot on the couch not guaranteed.)
